The news traveled fast and Ferry Porsche personally congratulated Günter after the win. It was a big moment for both men and the new 911. Piloted by Günter Wallrabenstein with Friedel Herborn as co-pilot, the duo placed 1st overall, gesamtsieger, at the Roland Rally in Bremen. The win was recorded in chassis #300005. In the middle of the Winner Circle, a hotel bellhop brought Günter the phone. It was Ferry Porsche wishing Günter and Friedel a victorious congratulation. The team would go on to win many more. |
