In 1992, Porsche introduced the Carrera RS America edition, a lighter weight version of the 964 Carrera 2 Coupe and was offered in the 1993 and 1994 model years. It was offered in limited colors and with the only options being a sunroof, A/C, stereo, and LSD. 701 examples were built.
