Remarks owner:	Peter and Barbara Jones bought the third Block Speedster brand new off the showroom floor, the week after they were married. They restored the car for the 1965 Santa Barbara Parade, and the last night they were up all night getting the car finished. They left in the morning for the 350 mile or so drive to the Parade, but fell asleep and completely wrecked the car. Peter Jones had installed aircraft type wide seatbelts and they both had their race helmets on and were lucky to come out of it alive. The box member under the driver side door was completely split apart, the car looked like it had been opened with a can opener right behind the seats, all the way across to the passenger door. The rear deck lid melted onto the engine. Peter and Barbara Jones stripped the car of anything they thought was valuable and were assured that the car was going to the local dump. However, the remains resurfaced and the third Block pushrod GT Speedster has been restored. It was bought by Mr. Michael Roock from Germany.
